Women Rescue Daughters Wants Nat’l Legislature Pass Drugs Law

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A group, under the banner, Women Rescue Daughters, is appealing to the National Legislature to fast-track the passage of the drug laws to help address issues of drugs and substance abuse in the Country.

The Group’s Coordinator, Josephine Snorton, told ELBC ON Tuesday, February 14, 2023, that there is a growing number of ghettos recruiting and damaging the lives of young people across Liberia.

According to her, the passage of the law will deter the act and administer stiffer punishment for traffickers.

Madam Snorton claimed that the issue is gradually destroying a portion of the Country’s population, noting that something needs to be done urgently.

She noted that timely passage and implementation of the law will send a resounding caveat that the Country is ready to save the lives of its youthful population.
