MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Mines and Energy says it has uncovered a criminal syndicate intended to dupe the Liberian people.

The Ministry has confirmed reports of some unscrupulous persons bent on portraying themselves to be operating Solar Panel World Bank and IBC funded project in Liberia.

But a release from the Ministry issued recently is warning the public to be mindful about individuals seeking internet application for the provision of Solar Panel Energy.

According the release, authorities of the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) have since denied any knowledge of the scam project.
