Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS), Merck Foundation Endorse Partnership…..

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS) and Merck Foundation have reaffirmed their partnership to strengthen awareness on issues affecting women in Africa.

The commitment was reached on Tuesday, January 31,2023, following discussion in Dubai with the CEO and Founder of Merck Foundation, Dr. Rasha Kelled, and LBS Deputy Director General for Media Services, Sorbor George and LNTV Director of Program, Cecelia Clarke.

During the meeting, Dr. Kelled promised to create more content for broadcast on LNTV on girls’ education, infertility, stigma and female genital mutilation, among others.

In remarks, Mr. George and Mrs. Clarke also expressed LBS unwavering support to Merck Foundation for the airing of its programs, which have already begun on LNTV.

Meanwhile, Dr. Kelled has also promised to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the LBS upon her trip to Liberia.

Merck Foundation is a non-profit and Dubai-organization committed to creating culture shift and community sensitization on social and health challenges affecting women and girls in Africa.
