MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A ranking member of the Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction (MDR) has renewed commitment to the reelection bid of President George Weah.

Representative Gonpue Kargon is one of the closest confidants of Senator Prince Johnson, the founder of the MDR.

In an interview on ELBC Super Morning Show on Monday, January 30, 2023, Representative Kargon said:” My support to President Weah’s reelection bid is being channeled through my party that has political partnership with the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC).”

However, the Nimba County District-Four Lawmaker urged the Liberian Leader and hierarchy of the CDC to listen to recent concerns raised by Senator Johnson.

He said though Senator Johnson’s concerns are being misinterpreted to cause confusion between the CDC and the MDR, Government must address some of the demands.

Representative Gonpue Kargon lauded President Weah for the appointment of Attorney Garrison Yealue as Chairman of the Governance Commission.
