University of Liberia establishes Fisheries and Aquaculture College

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor says Government has earmarked the investment of half a million dollars to the newly established Fisheries and Aquaculture College of the University of Liberia.

VP Howard-Taylor also disclosed additional two-million dollar commitment to the College from the International Community.

The Liberian Vice President spoke of plans by Government to make the College tuition free.

Speaking on Wednesday, January 26, 2023, at the official opening of the College at the UL, Vice President Howard called on authorities of the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority to prioritize fish farming.

She urged the authorities of the UL to increase women enrolment at the College of Fisheries and Aquaculture to ensure their participation in the sector.
