Firestone Workers Union, Management Disagree over Rice Subsidy Deal

HARBEL, LIBERIA-Disagreement has ensued between the Management of Firestone-Liberia and its workers union over charges of rice subsidy.

The workers are protesting the thirty-four US Dollars being cut from their monthly salaries by Firestone-Liberia for the rice, instead of the twenty-six dollars they previously paid.

The disagreement has prompted the workers union to pull out of negotiation with management.

The union has maintained that they will not sit for any negotiation, unless the Company’s Management explains why such increment is being made.
