MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has issued Executive Order #115, suspending tariff on several agriculture products and machinery in the Country.

The Order issued on Monday, January 23, 2023, is intended to boost the Agriculture Sector by working with key market players to make agriculture products affordable for farmers.

According to the Liberian Government, the Order affects over forty agriculture products, disclosing that importers of agriculture inputs shall pay only Customs Users Fees (CUF) and the ECOWAS Trade Levy (ETL), where applicable.

The Executive Mansion added that Finance Minister, in consultation with the Agriculture Minster and the Liberia Revenue Authority Commissioner General, shall establish the processes and procedures by Administrative Regulation for the granting of Tax Exemption to eligible beneficiaries within the Agriculture Sector.
