MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Chief Executive Officer of the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) has reported significant reduction in electricity losses for the last five months.

Mr. Monie Captan said:” Of the total percentage of electricity supply, 47.7 % was in losses, due to power theft.”

In an interview with ELBC on the Bumper Show on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, Mr. Captan reported about 7% reduction since the launch of its robust anti-power theft campaign.

He also defended the limited load shedding measure instituted by the Corporation as necessary precaution for constant electricity supply.
