Former Nat’l Security Officer sentenced to 25 years imprisonment…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A  former officer of the National Security Agency (NSA) has been sentenced to twenty-five years imprisonment at the Monrovia Central Prison.

Officer Arthur Chan-Chan was sentenced on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, by Criminal Court “A”, for trafficking two Liberian ladies to Oman.

Judge Roosevelt Willie’s judgment against officer Chan-Chan was a result of the jurors’ majority guilty verdict against him.

The judgment also mandated the NSA Officer to pay a fine of one-hundred-thousand United States Dollars and restitute the victim’s monies.

However, Defense Lawyer, Cllr. Sanney Carlor, took exception to the Court’s final judgment by announcing an appeal to the Supreme Court of Liberia.
