Police Charged and Forwarded Man to Court for Beating Wife to Death

MARGIBI COUNTY, LIBERIA-Police in Margibi County have finally charged a forty-year-old man with murder.

Samuel David allegedly beat his wife to death recently in Sur-pue-wah Town, Gbi District, for disallowing him marrying a second wife.

The Suspect admitted to police investigation of committing the act, but with no intention of killing her.

ELBC Correspondent quotes suspect David as expressing regret over the situation, which he described as unfortunate.

Meanwhile, the trial of the suspect will take place at the Bopolu Magisterial Court in Gbarpolu County, amid calls by the victim’s family for speedy trial.
