Coalition for Democratic Change considers merger with opposition Independent…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Secretary General of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) says the Party is contemplating collaboration with the opposition Alternative National Congress (ANC), ahead of the 2023 Presidential and General Elections.

Mr. Jefferson Koijee said:” The decision of the Party is aimed at building a stronger political ally to retain its seat in the pending elections.”

He noted that it could be a formidable merger to secure another landslide victory for the CDC led-Government in 2023.

Making the disclosure on Thursday, December  29,2022, at a news conference  in Monrovia, Mr. Koijee expressed the hope that Executives of the ANC would rethink consider joining the CDC.

The CDC Secretary General also added that the decision of the Party will pave the way for President George Weah to complete his development agenda across the Country.
