Gov’t indicts Five Persons for alleged Cocaine trafficking into Liberia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia has finally indicted four foreigners and a Liberian for allegedly transporting 520 kg of Cocaine to the Country.

The drugs, valued at one-hundred-million United States Dollars, were confiscated recently in what is considered the biggest drug bust in Liberia’s history.

Suspects Malam Conto, Abdullai Djibri, Marki Issam, and Oliver Zazay were indicted by the Grand Jury of Montserrado County.

The defendants were served their criminal indictment at the Monrovia Central Prison and will be tried under the jurisdiction of Criminal Court “C”.

They are charged for money laundering, unlicensed possession of controlled drugs, unlicensed importation of controlled drugs and criminal conspiracy.
