Team Kanubah files Petition for Writ of Prohibition…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Press Union of Liberia (PUL) Presidential Candidate has filed a petition at the Supreme Court of Liberia for a Writ of Prohibition on the entire PUL Congress held over the weekend in Gbarnga, Bong County.

Mr. Julius Kanubah and campaign team had initially filed a Writ of Injunction at the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court on the PUL’s Elective Congress.

However, it was overturned by the Court late Saturday, November 19, 2022, after the PUL filed a return, thus giving way for the election to proceed.

At a major news conference on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, Mr. Kanubah stated that the petition for a writ of prohibition would reverse and set aside the earlier decision of the Court to lift the injunction.

According to him, the petition for a writ is to undo and cancel the results of what he described as unconstitutional election held by the PUL.

Mr. Julius Kanubah prayed on the Supreme Court to order the reinstatement of his team’s temporary restraining order, which grew out of infested voter’s roll and procedural errors of the Congress Committee.
