Pres. Weah urges Officials of Gov’t to work with diligence

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah is urging all his officials to work with diligence and seriousness in the discharge of their duties.

President Weah said holding positions of public trust requires strong commitment to duty and desire to achieve results.

The president’s warning comes after sacking two officials of the Liberia Institute of Statistics and Geo-Information Services (LISGIS).

LISGIS Acting Director General Wilmot Smith and Deputy for Statistics and Data Processing were sacked on Monday, November 14, 2022, for what the Executive Mansion termed as administrative reasons.

The start of the National Housing and Population Census has been marred by irregularities and uncertainty, making the statistics house to be a laughing stock on social media.
