Calm returns to Bopolu Central High School

GBAPOLU COUNTY, LIBERIA-Calm has returned at the Bopolu Central High in Gbapolu County, after a day protest staged by students of the institution.

The protest was abandoned by the students, following the intervention of the local and educational authorities of the County.

ELBC Correspondent said the Students were protesting the lack of Biology and English teachers.

Our Correspondent quotes the students as saying since the resumption of classes; there have been no Biology and English teachers for the senior high division of the Bopolu Central High School.

The Students noted that this could undermine their performance in the upcoming WASSCE Exams.

Meanwhile, the District Education Officer for Bolopu Education District, Lateh Bemah, has assured the protesting students that all will be done to bring in two teachers this week.
