Pres. Weah dismisses two top officials at Liberia Institute for Statistics and Geo-Information Services (LISGIS)

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has dismissed, with immediate effect, the Acting Director General and Deputy Director General for Statistics and Data Processing of the Liberia Institute for Statistics and Geo-Information Services (LISGIS) for administrative reasons.

According to a dispatch from Paris, France, Mr. Wilmot Smith and Alex M. Williams are ordered to turn over all properties belonging to the institution in their possession.

Meanwhile, President Weah has designated the LISGIS Deputy Director General for Administration, Lawrence George, to act as Director General, while Professor Francis Wreh is on a leave of absence.

President Weah has, at the same time, urged those holding positions of public trust to act with diligence and seriousness in the discharge of their duties.
