Chinese Gov. recommits to finishing major projects in Liberia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Chinese Government has renewed its commitment to the completion of all major projects in Liberia.

Ambassador Ren Yisheng named some of those major projects as the two over-pass bridges in Congo Town and broadcast complex of the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS) in Paynesville City.

In an interview with ELBC recently, the Chinese Ambassador clarified that his country has not ceased all of its projects as rumored.

Ambassador Yisheng said:” Procurement processes for those projects are currently ongoing in China to begin construction early next year. Though the Chinese Government has some reservations about Liberia’s recent international collaboration, China will not halt its ongoing development in Liberia.”

The Chinese Envoy said China-Liberia Diplomatic Relations remains in tight, with shared commitment and respect.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Ren Yisheng has offered China’s support to a peaceful and transparent 2023 Presidential and Legislative Elections.
