MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Leader, George Weah, has praised the United Nations and its Member States for the critical role they continue to play in rebuilding Liberia, following years of civil war.

President Weah said:” Liberia remains grateful to the World Body for bringing lasting peace and setting the Country on the path of development.”

The Liberian leader’s message was contained in a proclamation declaring Monday October 24 as a working Holiday in commemoration of the 77^th Anniversary of the UN.

The observance of the 77^th UN Day is in recognition of the invaluable contributions of the United Nations to Liberia and the world at large.
