Global Health Systems Solutions trains Lab Technicians from six African Countries…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A five-day training of Laboratory Technicians from six African Countries including Liberia, Mali, Sierra Leone, Benin, Togo and Cape Verde, has gotten underway in Monrovia.

The training is being conducted by Global Health Systems Solutions, with support from the African Union and Africa–Center for Disease Control.

Speaking at the official opening of the workshop on Monday, October 3, 2022, Health Minister, Dr. Wilhelmina Jallah said:” The training of over fifty lab technicians is huge preparedness for future disease outbreaks. It was time that Africa invests in disease detection and defense mechanism, to compete with others around the world.”

Health Minister Jallah maintained that Africa is now preparing to overcome emerging global health challenges, with support from the African Union (AU) and Africa–Center for Disease Control (CDC).

Also speaking, a Representative of Global Health Systems Solutions Executive Director, Ntongowa Callistus, said the training is a step towards improving laboratory managements in West Africa.

 Mr. Callistus said:” The lab technicians are being orientated with template guides for laboratory accreditations.”
