Hundreds of youth take part in Liberia Emerging Political Leaders Training

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Over two-hundred youth in eight counties have participated in the Liberia Emerging Political Leaders Training (LEPLT).

The training is an initiative that will engage one-thousand across the fifteen counties of Liberia to enhance their knowledge, skills and commitment to civic and political leadership in their communities, ahead of the 2023 elections.

A release from the Elections and Democracy Activity (EDA) said it is rolling out the LEPLT across Liberia, with goal of increasing knowledge among participating youth of their civic responsibility and the electoral process.

The EDA is made possible by the generous support of the American people through USAID.

Funded by USAID, the project is implemented by Democracy International (DI), in collaboration with the International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX) and NAYMOTE-Partners for Democracy Development.
