MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has sent a congratulatory message to Liz Truss on her appointment as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

In his message to Prime Minister Truss, President Weah extended sincere best wishes on her historic appointment as the third female Prime Minister of the UK.

The President noted that under Madam Truss’ astute and visionary leadership, the UK will continue to enjoy the blessings of peace, unity and prosperity.

According to a Foreign Ministry release issued on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, the Liberian Leader expressed the hope that the excellent relations between Liberia and the UK will be further strengthened in the common interest of citizens of both countries.

He then assured the new UK Prime of his highest consideration and best wishes for personal good health and greater success in the fulfillment of her noble task.
