Education Minister to appear before the House of Rep…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Education Minister Ansu Sonii is expected to appear before the House of Representatives on Tuesday next week, to provide update on the reopening of schools across the Country for Academic 2022/2023.

The decision to have Minister Sonii appear was reached by Plenary of the House on Thursday, September 1, 2022, based on a communication from Representative Marvin Cole of Electoral District-3 in Bong County.

Representative Cole wants Minister Sonii address himself to the reopening of schools on September 5, 2022, while graduation processes are ongoing, something he believes is confusing and needs clarity.

The Bong County Lawmaker also wants to know the standard or policy set up for graduation fees for schools across the Country.

Representative Cole is also requesting an academic timetable for the resumption of schools, considering the climatic condition to avoid health hazard for school going kids.
