MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Montserrado County District Seven Representative, Solomon George, has blasted the Liberia Council of Churches (LCC) for misinterpreting his comments made, during President George Weah’s citizen engagement in his district.

Representative George told a news conference on Monday, August 22, 2022, that LCC’s latest request for him to apologize for comments made during the gathering is an error on its part.

He said:” The LCC further accusation of me eliminating critics of the Weah-led Government, upon assuming the Inspector General post of the Liberia National Police (LNP), was contrary to the probability attached to my comments.”

He questioned the effectiveness of the LCC in the wake of mounting insults against President Weah by opposition figures in and out of Liberia.

Representative George wants the LCC wake up to the true essence of its establishment.
