Civil Law Court withdraws arrest warrant for Public Works Minister, others…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Civil Law Court has withdrawn its arrest warrant for Public Works Minister Ruth Coker-Collins and other officials.

Judge Nancy Sammie on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, confirmed that she withdrew the warrant of arrest order, but stressed that the matter is pending before court.

Deputy Public Works Minister Joseph Todd and the Lawyer representing the Ministry, Cllr.Dalamah Sulonteh, on Wednesday surrendered themselves to the Court, to avoid being apprehended by court officials.

But the Civil Law Court felt short to say what prompted her decision to pardon the Public Works officials, despite earlier putting out an arrest warrant on contempt charges.

With Minister Ruth Coker-Collins not showing up, Mr. Todd and Cllr. Sulonteh pleaded with Judge Nancy Sammie to tender justice with mercy.
