MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government has been commended for its straight adherence to the One China Policy.

Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, Ren Yisheng, said Liberia’s solidarity has been welcomed with gratitude by Beijing.

The One China Policy states that there is only one People’s of Republic China, which both Hong Kong and China are a part.

Addressing the media on Monday, August 8, 2022, Ambassador Yisheng said:” The Taiwan issue remains a domestic affair of China, a position that has been supported by over one-hundred countries.”

The Chinese Ambassador maintained that recognizing Taiwan’s independence is provocative to the People’s Government in Beijing.
