Defendant Habakkuk Sackor’s application for new litigation denied…..

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Defendant Habakkuk Sackor has suffered a serious blow at the Civil Law Court ‘B’, in connection with his motion seeking to overturn the trial jurors’ conviction verdict against him.

Judge Yaime Gbeisay declined to grant defendant Sackor’s application for new litigation, saying the jurors’ verdict was not contrary to weight of evidence adduced in court by Plaintiff Lawyers.

Judge Gbeisay’s ruling further confirmed the one-hundred-fifty-thousand United States Dollars awarded the National Investment Commission (NIC) Project Director, Andrew Anderson, concerning his action of damage to injury for domestic relations.

Again, Defendant Sackor’s legal team took exception to the Court’s decision by announcing an appeal to the Supreme Court of Liberia, as provided for by law.

Prior to Judge Gbeisay’s decision, defendant Habakkuk Sackor was convicted on July 10, 2022, by the trial jurors for damaging Andrew Anderson’s marriage with his wife Larraine Rose Anderson.
