Liberia makes gains in Telecommunication Sector-Minister Kruah

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Post and Telecommunication Minister, Cooper Kruah, has highlighted significant progress made in the postal delivery service of Liberia.

Minister Kruah said:” Tracking numbers are now assigned to address challenges faced with packages being stolen and broken into.”

Speaking Tuesday, July 19, 2022, on ELBC Super Morning Show, he said the tracking numbers make it difficult for people to temper with parcels coming from Liberia.

Minister Kruah further said that plans are underway for the provision of improved telecommunication service to the people of Liberia.

At the same time, Minister Kruah said though COVID-19 affected the sector in meeting up with its financial obligations with other international postal organizations, the Ministry has regained its voting rights at the level of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

Meanwhile, Minister Kruah has disclosed that several engineers have been trained to strengthen Liberia’s Cyber security system.
