Civil Law Court “B” finds Sackor guilty for damaging marital home of …..

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Jurors at Civil Law Court “B” in Monrovia have rendered a guilty verdict against Habakkuk Sackor for damaging the marital home of the Chairman of the National Investment Commission (NIC).

The jurors’ verdict was based on the evidence adduced in court by lawyers representing complainant Andrew Anderson, led by Cllr. Bob Leywhyee, holding the defendant liable for action of damage.

The jurors rewarded the NIC Project Director with a hundred-fifty-thousand USD, instead of the three-hundred-thousand USD earlier requested for damage.

But the Defense Lawyer, Attny. Kenneh Flomo, took an exception to the trial jurors, and is considering a motion for retrial ahead of Judge Yarmie Gbeisay final judgment as provided for by law.

On March 14, 2022, NIC Project Director instituted a three-hundred-thousand USD action of damage for injury to domestic c relations against defendant Habakkuk Sackor for interfering with his wife, Laurina Anderson, believed to be an employee of the Ministry of Justice.
