Liberia gets Vice President Position at Network of Anti-Corruption Bodies of West Africa

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-West African Anti-Corruption Chiefs have elected Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission Executive Chairperson as their new Vice President.

Cllr. Edwin Martin was elected on Monday, March 21, 2022, at a meeting of the Network of Anti-Corruption Bodies of West Africa (NACIWA) in Abuja, Nigeria.

Speaking to Journalists in Abuja after his election, Cllr. Martin promised to work along with colleagues in the sub-region to reduce opportunity for corruption.

According to Cllr. Martin, there is no alternative to economic prosperity in West Africa, other than an aggressive fight against corruption and abuse.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of Nigeria, Abdurasheed Bawa, is now the President of the regional group, replacing Sierra Leone’s Anti-Graft Chief Ben Kaifala.
