Liberian students stranded in Ukraine

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Over two-hundred Liberian students are said to be caught up in the Ukraine by Russia.

The students are said to be spread across different cities in Ukraine.

The Head of the students, Mark Sheriff, told ELBC on Thursday, February, 24, 2022, that the situation is tensed and their immediate concern is to get to safer cities inside Ukraine.

According to student Sherriff, they have already made contact with the Liberian Government, and are currently documenting to know the exact number affected by the crisis.

With the Russian invasion escalating faster, the students are hoping the Liberian Government will act swiftly in arranging a possible repatriation.
