Pres. Weah declares Friday February 11 Armed Forces Day

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has, by proclamation, declared Friday, February 11, as Armed Forces Day, and is to be observed as a National Holiday throughout the Republic of Liberia.

The proclamation is in consonance with an Act of the National Legislature, declaring February 11, each year as Armed Forces Day.

The day is in recognition of the vital role the AFL continues to play in defending and protecting the territorial integrity of the Country and its people, from foreign aggressions.

Friday, February 11, 2022, marks the sixty-fifth Anniversary of the AFL, and will be celebrated at the Barclay Training Center in Monrovia.
