MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The House Representative has assessed the facilities Bea Mountain Company in Grand Cape Mount County, to establish facts surrounding reports of wrongdoings meted out against citizens by the Company.

Recently, a representative of the County, Bob Sheriff, alleged that the Company has failed to live up to its social responsibilities, including the lack of employment and development provisions and illegal mining.

Speaking during an assessment conference with affected citizens the company and the House of Representatives, the House Chairman on Investment, Clarence Massaquoi, said findings gathered will be communicated to Plenary.

Meanwhile, the citizens have renewed calls for the House of Representatives to ensure the irregularities are corrected, for mutual coexistence between them and the Company.

A Specialized House Committee that toured the Company’s facilities is expected to communicate its report to Plenary, pending further deliberation.
