MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has assured of progress in every sector of the Liberian Government this New Year.

President Weah said:” 2022 will be a year of progress in every undertaking of Government to improve citizens’ livelihood, but this can only be possible when Liberians put away their differences and unite for a common purpose.”

He made the remark on Sunday, December 2, 2022, during a Special New Year Sermon at the Forky Klon Family Fellowship Church in Paynesville City.

President Weah said Liberia is endowed with great potential and resources that must be wisely used to develop the Country.

The Liberian Chief Executive said the Country must never be divided, because of selfish interest and bitterness of the fourteen year old civil war.

President Weah said progress is only possible when there is peace harmony in the Country.

At the same time, President Weah wants Liberians to do away with gossip, backbiting, hate, and envy in 2022.

He said those vices only retard progress, noting that the Country can succeed when Liberians cultivate a culture of gratitude, respect, peace and patriotism.

President Weah then called on Liberians to do a soul searching of lives in order to inform their future.

The calls were contained in a sermon he delivered on New Year’s Eve at the Forky Klon Family Fellowship Church, in Paynesville City, outside Monrovia.
