Tewor District citizens in Grand Cape Mount County locked doors of Commissioner’s Compound

GRAND CAPE MOUNT COUNTY, LIBERIA-Citizens of Tewor District, in Grand Cape Mount County, have locked the doors of the compound of the Commissioner for alleged corruption.

They had accused Commissioner Haji Jaleba of converting the Liberian Government’s food stimulus package to his own benefit.

The action was triggered by the outcome of a recent investigation, which reportedly exonerated Commissioner Jaleba.

According ELBC Correspondent, the citizens believed the investigation was manipulated to exonerate the Commissioner of the allegations.

They believe that findings from the investigation are not valid, and are demanding the Commissioner to step aside, adding that he is no longer trustworthy.
