MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia National Police has, with immediate effect, disrobed Montserrado County Regional Commander for illegal sexual assault.

Mr. Joshua During’s disrobement stemmed from allegation registered  against him by a female police  officer, who claimed that she was sexually abused by Deputy Commissioner During.

Based on the allegation, Commissioner During has been subjected to an immediate investigation, aimed at establishing facts surrounding the allegation of sexual assault.

In a statement issued on Monday, December 6, 2021, the LNP assured the public of a full scale investigation by the Crime Services Department, to authenticate facts into the allegation.

The LNP statement reiterated that the public, under the watch of Inspector General Patrick Sudue, will not shield any officer who engages in unorthodox practices.
