Liberia Nat’l Police restores stability to Bushrod Island…..

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia National Police (LNP) has made several arrests, following Tuesday’s standoff with suspected criminals on Bushrod Island.

Police Spokesman Moses Carter told ELBC Tuesday, November 23, 2021, that a team from the anti-robbery unit was attacked, while affecting the raid and arrest of some hardcore criminals in the Duala area.

The police have since confirmed that there were both human and material casualties from Tuesday’s incident, which disrupted normal activities on the island.

Earlier on Tuesday afternoon, the LNP put out a travelling advice, warning the public to be caution us about movements on the Bushrod Island.

The LNP, however, restored calm after dispatching back-up team comprising officers from both Police Support Unit (PSU) and Emergency Response Unit (ERU) to the area.
