Nat’l Elections Commission declares winners in Representative By-Elections

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Elections Commission (NEC) has declared winners, of the just ended Representative By-Elections held in four of Liberia’s fifteen counties.

Those declared by NEC are Finda Lansanah of Bomi County, James Kolleh of Bong County, Erol Madison Gwion of Grand Gedeh County and Samuel Browne of Nimba County.

Announcing the results on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at the Headquarters of the National Elections Commission in Monrovia, NEC Chairperson, Davidetta Browne-Lansanah, thanked voters in the four counties for largely conducting themselves peacefully during the process.

She praised the Liberian Government and partners for their support to the by-elections.

The by-elections conducted in Bomi, Bong, Nimba and Grand Gedeh Counties followed the election of Edwin Snowe, Prince Moye, Zoe Pennue and Jeremiah Koung as Senators in 2020.
