MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The House of Representatives has instructed its Ways and Means and Education Committee, to ensure that finances captured in the National Budget are disbursed to the University of Liberia.

According to ELBC Legislative Reporter, the Body also mandated its Finance Committee to give a financial deficit report of the National Budget on other line ministries and agencies.

Our Reporter said Plenary recently took the decision following a report from its Education Committee.

It followed a communication from Montserrado County District Nine Representative, Frank Saah-Foko, about the disruption of classes and delay of graduation, due to the e-learning program at the University.

The Committee informed Plenary that the UL Authorities confirmed the claims by Representative Foko, and sought budgetary increment to remedy the challenges.
