Liberia inaugurates first Land Info System

MONROV IA, LIBERIA-Liberia has inaugurated the first ever land information system at the University of Liberia (UL).

The Continuing Operations Record System (CCRS) was initiated by the Liberia Land Authority (LLA).

Speaking over the weekend, during the dedication of the facility, the Commissioner for Land Administration at the LLA, Josephus Bugress, said:” The CORS System will serve as a warehouse repository for accurate land information.”

Mr. Bugress explained that the launch of the system will drastically reduce land conflict and promote accurate land ownership.

For his part, LLA Director of Land Administration, Sylvester Bundoo, said surveyors in the public and private sectors will be trained on how to use the system.

The facility was constructed by an international company, Trimble, with support from the World Bank.
