MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The United States Ambassador to Liberia, Michael McCarthy, has assured of his government’s technical support towards equipping the Liberia National Police (LNP).

Ambassador McCarthy said he has realized many challenges faced by the LNP, especially the lack of basic equipment and office supplies.

According to a release issued Thursday, November 4,2021, the US Ambassador said:” There are wider efforts in place to procure some basic policing equipment for the LNP.”

He spoke recently, when the US Bureau of International Narcotic and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), through the Embassy, presented some office equipment to the LNP.

The Ambassador said the LNP rightly deserves to be hailed for the progress it has made during Liberia’s peacetime, including its commitment to working with the Civilian Complaint Review Board to build trust with citizens.
