APM Terminals Workers, Management settled longstanding dispute

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Aggrieved workers of the APM Terminals and the Management have settled their longstanding labor dispute.

It followed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Management of the APM Terminals and the Dock Workers’ Union of Liberia (DOWUL).

The Managing Director of APM Terminals, Jonathan Graham, signed on behalf of Management, while DOWUL President Madam Jackie Doe, signed on behalf of the Union.

Speaking during the signing ceremony Monday, September 27, 2021, at the Labor Ministry, Labor Minister Charles Gibson said: “The Memorandum of Understanding has defined a new relationship between workers and management, especially on how to address labor related issues.”

He expressed happiness that all six counts derived from the Ministry’s ruling are being addressed by the agreement.

For his part, the Managing Director of APM Terminals-Liberia, Graham, thank the Labor Ministry’s guidance to all parties during the negotiation process and promised to comply with the implementation of the agreement
