Pres. Weah to address 76th Session of UN General Assembly today

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah is expected to address the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly later today.

President Weah will address world leaders via video link from Monrovia.

Speaking in an ELBC interview   Thursday, September 23, 2021, Presidential Press Secretary, Isaac Solo Kelgbeh, said: “The President’s address will focus on the theme of the summit: “Building resilience through hope-to recover from the COVID-19, rebuild sustainability, respond to the needs of the planet, respect the rights of people and revitalize the UN.”

Mr. Kelgbeh said the Liberian Leader will call on world leaders to increase support for the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, especially in developing countries like Liberia.

The Presidential Press Secretary said President George Weah will reiterate his earlier position for a revitalized UN, to live up to its true essence for which it was founded.
