President Joe Biden pronounces funding for developing countries to combat climate change

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – As world leaders converged at the 76th UN General Assembly, in New York, United States of America, President Joe Biden has made some major policy pronouncements that would shape the rest of the world.

United States President Joe Biden said he would work with Congress to double US funding to developing Countries to combat climate change.

The American leader cited widespread death and devastation which developing countries continue to experience as a result of climate change.

He said along with private capital efforts, the step would meet a goal of mobilizing one hundred billion dollars to support climate action in developing nations.

Liberia, as a developing country, is set to benefit from this increased funding from the United States Government.

Meanwhile, the Liberian President, George Weah is expected to address the World Body on a wide range of local and international issues on Thursday, September 23,21.
