MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The House of Representatives is soliciting the required signatures for the adoption of a joint resolution authorizing the conduct of four representatives By- Elections in the country.

According to the proposed resolution, the elections will take place in Bong, Nimba, Grand Gedeh and Bomi Counties.

ELBC Reporter quotes the instrument as saying; the by-elections in the four counties shall take place on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.

The by-elections were occasioned by the vacancies created following the December-2020 Senatorial elections which were contested and won by representatives from the four counties.

Our reporter says the instrument considered the constitutional provision amidst the financial constraints which impeded the conduct of the elections within the stipulated period.
