MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Health Minister Dr. Wilhelmina Jallah says an individual has died from taking a mixture of the AstraZeneca and Johnson and Johnson vaccines.
Minister Jallah said:” The deceased earlier took the AstraZeneca vaccine and willfully got his J&J jab recently, despite warnings from health authorities.”
She said it was ill-advisable for someone who took the AstraZeneca vaccine to also take the Johnson and Johnson, which is a single shot.
Meanwhile, Minister Jallah has assured that Liberia is well positioned to contain the Marburg virus, if detected in the Country.
Dr. Wilhelmina Jallah urged Liberians and foreign residents to remain calm over reports of the virus.
