Education Ministry suspends graduation ceremonies across Liberia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Education Authorities have announced the suspension of graduation ceremonies across Liberia.

 

Education Minister Ansu Sonii said:” There should be no graduation ceremony held for students from kindergarten to college level.”

Speaking on Monday, July 5, 2021, in an ELBC interview, Minister Sonii said all graduation ceremonies will be held later when the Country is in a stable health condition.

Minister Sonii warned that any school administration caught holding graduation programs will be will fined heavily.

The Education Minister did not disclose any specific amount as a fine, but said the Ministry will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that schools abide by the health protocols.
