MONROVIA, LIBERIA – President George Weah Friday received in audience, the Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, Jean-Yves Le Drain.

Minister Le Drain is on a two day State visit to Liberia in fulfillment of a promise made to President Weah by French President, Emmanuel Macron, in 2018.

President Weah conveyed his heartfelt compliments to President Macron and expressed the hope that Minister Le Drain’s visit will further enhance the already closed ties between both Countries.

The Liberian Leader thanked the Government and people of France for their continued support in several areas of Liberia’s development.

For his part, Minister Jean Yves Le Drian committed his Government’s support to the development efforts of Liberia.

Minister Le Drain thanked President Weah and Liberians as a whole for keeping the peace and harnessing democratic tenants.
