Police Anti-Robbery Unit Wednesday, shot dead five armed robbers in Paynesville

PAYNESVILLE, LIBERIA – Officers of the Police Anti-Robbery Unit on Wednesday,  night May 19,2021, shot dead five armed robbers in the commercial hub of Red Light in Paynesville, Montserrado County.

The five robbers had gone to rob a frozen food business in the area and opened fire on the officers that went on the scene.

According to Police Inspector-General, Col. Patrick Sudue, the officers intercepted the robbery incident during their regular night time patrol.

Col Sudue has at the same time assured the public that the Liberia National Police is doing all it can to ensure public safety.

The Police IG also lauded the bravery of the officers that confronted the robbers, describing the operation as professional.
