Media inclusion in ECOWAS Vision -2050 will strengthen regional development – Information Minister, Rennie

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – Information Minister, Ledgerhood Rennie, says the inclusion of the media in ECOWAS Vision 2050 will strengthen the roadmap for development in the region.

Minister Rennie said the media, as a significant bloc of the region, will determine how Vision 2050 of ECOWAS can be promoted and adequately disseminated.

The Liberian Information Minister was speaking Thursday at the ongoing ECOWAS Consultative Workshop for Media Organizations from the Sub-region in Monrovia.

Minister Rennie said the workshop is essential to clearly define the role of the media as part of the region’s master-plan for development.

He thanked the Vice President of ECOWAS for selecting Monrovia as host of the workshop.

Meanwhile, Minister Ledgerhood Rennie has lauded efforts by ECOWAS to begin the process of developing a new Vision as blueprint for developmental priorities for the next thirty years.
