MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Deputy Presidential Press Secretary, Smith Toby, says the presence of Liberian Government Officials in the United States is a testament of strong US-Liberia relations.

Last week the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Nathaniel McGill and Minister of Finance, Samuel Tweah, travelled to Washington, D.C.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, Mr. Toby said:” The two officials of Government are using their time in the United States to hold talks with their counterparts.”

According to him, the Liberian Government will disclose the detail of the two official’s trip to the United States.

He said the US as a traditional ally of Liberia, has always reaffirmed its commitment to cooperate with the Liberian Government.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Presidential Press Secretary said the negative propaganda against officials of the Government of Liberia is a distraction that should never be given attention by Liberians.
